COLLECTIVE MEMBER PROFILES COMING SOON:

Hi, I'm Levi. I grew up in Fresno. Had two knee surgeries and then escaped to UCSB. I ran a lab with my buddy Andrew B where we experimented with classical conditioning and music, and received my bachelors in Psychology. I also spent time organizing community festivals, playing sitar and studying Ethnomusicology. Directly out of college I worked as both creative director and international grants manager for The Forest Foundation, ran the Moishe House program, and organized a cross country environmental educational tour known as the Moishe Mobile. I  helped develop the environmental strategy for the Bonnaroo Music Festival '07 and got my Wu-wear on when I worked with Live Nation to lead the diversion of over 60% of the waste from Rock The Bells San Francisco. From there I produced several short online videos. Wrote for Green Living Online. Consulted for a few companies. Broke my tailbone.

Then I met Ryan Scott. Nine months later, Causecast was born. While Vice President at Causecast, I worked on digital strategy, media production, and creative campaign development. But, as you can tell, I'm currently traveling the world and no longer behind a desk. With my new mobile office in tow, camera and laptop packed tightly next to my trusty travel toothbrush, I wear my new title with pride - CAO, Chief Activism Officer. For the next year I'll be meeting activists, volunteering with nonprofits, reporting on conflict, making films and taking photos with the hope to help those is need. I'll be visiting schools and organizations, speaking with anyone and everyone. I'll be learning about global youth culture, and leading discussions and conversations in coffee shops, halls, bars and parks about the subjects of Effective Activism, Net Neutrality, Media and Social Change. I'm a firm believer in the power of storytelling, sustainable sushi, grassroots movements, constructive rebelliousness, and steady whistle blowing. I look forward to someday living on a commune, looking more like my dad and having knees with regrown meniscus. I am interested in the concepts of we, futurism, and farming. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi. It's me, Brooke.  Born to this world in Kalispell Montana. Though I only lived there for a year and a day, I still often go back to hang with my beautiful mom and play in the mountains. Some call me a gypsy;  I've lived in Glenwood Springs, Oceanside, Fresno, San Diego, and Orange county. I toured the US with a band and crossed off the 39 states we visited. Some call me a hippie; I believe in Peace, Harmony and ONE WORLD. If I had a roof-top garden I'd spend my whole day out there but it's my brother who's got the green thumb. Some call me a mover and shaker;  I'm a freethinker, a writer, a talker, your buddy and your friend. Some call me ambiguous. Filipino, Mexican, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Latin, Sephardic Jew and yet, I am none of these (or so they say).  I have a bachelors in English Literature from San Diego State University.  I read books, I ride the bus, you should too.  I eat vegetables and cook a whole lot more since I started.  I love to learn. I lost my dad when I was in college and love to hear stories about him.  He visits me in my dreams. When I was a little girl I wanted to be a waitress on an airplane.  So far I have the waitress part down right, and now I'm fulfilling the waking-up-in-a-new-town-every-day part of it.  I yearned for braces and to learn how to read.  So far, so good.   My house is adorned with ugly, comfy 70’s style furniture and anything orange, brown and gubble.  I have dry skin, I love dogs, I probably need a cup of coffee.  I have the most beautiful friends in the world; they all blow my mind with their kindness and care.  I wear a whistle around my neck.  I smile all the time and I love that about myself. Of all the things I want you to know, this is the most important: I WANT TO HELP. Levi loves it when I rant. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What's Causecast? Some people call it an online global community, others a social action network. It connects, promotes and empowers both nonprofit organizations and individual activists. Transforming interest into action is the main component; widgets, blogs, actionable video players, eCards that raise money for charity, fundraisers, events, think thanks. Causecast currently partners with more than sixty organizations including FreeThe Slaves, The Humane Society, Amnesty International, Invisible Children, Friends of TOMS, Kiva, and LINK. Technology+Social Media+Philanthropy to influence positive change.
